Historic Annapolis by Candlelight Tour, Historic Annapolis Candle light Tours will be offered on Friday November 2nd and Saturday November 3rd from 5-9pm, guests will be granted exclusive access to privately owned homes. Maritime Republic of Eastport- Tug of War XV. The Maritime Republic of Eastport announces its 15th Annual Tug of War! Come join in the fun on Saturday, November 3rd at the crack of Noon! Billed as the longest International Tug-of-War over water in the world, the Eastport vs. Annapolis Tug was orignally conceived by the residents of Eastport over a decade ago when the Compromise Street Bridge was closed. Feeling excluded from the rest of the city, Eastport residents and citizens declared war against Annapolis and launched a plan to secede. From this rebellion, the Maritime Republic of Eastport was born. Longtime Pasadena resident dedicated to the growth and prosperity of the area, Mary Calvert, will serve as Grand Marshal and receive a plaque at the event.
